Octalink Compatible Cranksets?

I'm building up a 74' Raleigh International Frame into my first fixie. I have an unused Ultegra cartridge bearing BB that I would now like to put onto this bike. However, it has an octalink splined interface. The only fixie specific crankset that I know of is the Dura-Ace Track which costs more money than I'm willing to spend. Are there any other options or should I find a different BB and use the Ultegra somewhere else? Thanks.

I think the shortest Octalink BB is 109.5. I'm guessing you won't have a perfect chainline... well- it might be OK, but it won't be excellent.

Frankly, there are all sorts of decent cheap square taper BBs that come in every conceivable length- and will open your options.

If you insist on using your BB, you could obviously use a road crank, and whatever 130BCD chainrings you can find.

I'm a bit confused at your reference to a "fixie specific crankset" when your BB is designed for the road. Many people don't use a fixie specific crankset, or even chain...

Grab a used (recent) 105, ultegra, DA crankset on ebay and just pull a ring off of it.

Also, you can get new, closeout-priced DA cranksets in the $130 - $160 range and you can sell the big ring on ebay for $30. I looked at these recently and can point you to a couple of sites if you want them.

I recently got a set of octalink of DA cranks w/BB and I love them. Super smooth, light, and stiff.

I think FSA's track crank (the big flat black carbon disc flying saucer thing) uses Octalink. Pretty bling. I doubt it's much, if any, cheaper than the DuraAce.

Without a serious help of luck you are going to have some chainline issues (already mentioned).

Without some SERIOUS help/retapping/luck, that BB isn't going into your Nottingham threaded frame.

Sorry.
