And so to distract from all the brou-ha-ha going on in other threads, on to some drool-worthy things.

Marcus at Yojimbo's has some new stuff.

Sillygirl - I take it your hubs are on their way.

Rims from L to R: Velocity Deep V's in apple green, purple, pink, black, white, silver, green machined and red machined.

Hubs are deep red Phils: two sets at the new SLR option and the other is low flange. Oh baby!

Gracie (the kitten) is not for sale. Though she's cute as all heck.

There's never been a better opportunity to describe something's color as "candy apple red." Wow.

I called Velocity USA and they said they couldn't get me nonmachined silver deep-v's. Are those in the picture nonmachined? Hmm.

Silver deep v's are quite hard to find for some reason. I didn't see the new rims yet (the new green non-machined and the silver) so I'm not sure if they are or not. You can drop Marcus a line though:

I listened to the voicemail saying they were in as i opened this post! I am so excited!! They are gorgeous, I can't wait to see them in person.

Now I have a new dilema. I decided to sell my new IRO cause it just doesnt fit me well (and I need to cap the fixies at 2). So I have my baby of bike which I love everything about (My Valentine ) the only problem is she is already red. I would get rid of all the other red accessories, but would the colors clash? The bike is less candy apple red and a little more burnt red. The other options are to 1) powdercoat the trek, but it was my mom's old tri bike so I am hesitant to change it or 2) put them on my black beater, and phils do not belong on a beater.

Maybe I will just carry the hubs around with me and admire them wherever I go....

Sillygirl -

They'll match your bike. The photo Marcus took was with flash so they show up a bit brighter than they really are. I think they'll actually match your bike quite well. Plus even if they didn't, shades of the same colour grouped together is pretty hot too.

Yep. You can get 'em anodized in different colours. Phil does them in batches. These are my hubs (pink):

They match my bike. I'm such an aesthetics *****. http://flickr.com/photos/absenter/sets/257177/

What color rims/nipples do you think would look good? I was originally going to do white deep vs, black spokes, red nipples and red hubs. I think i will just get black nipples though.

Sillygirl - all black from my end. I like red and black together. As much as I like pink and black together.

Teadoggg - I try not to. But I do love 'em.

around $300 for the set (normal not the new SLRs) color only adds $30 i think - its the waitlist thats the pain.

Candy!

Would they take orders over the phone and be able to ship? Or is it not that kind of a shop?

Phils come in basic colors (Gold, Red, Pink, Green, Blue, etc.) for $40 dollars more per hub... but like someone said, it's the wait that is the pain...

Check out these blue ones... Mmmmmm

Looks like I'll be investing in those blue Phils sometime down the road to go with my bike's color scheme!

chimblysweep, silver NON-machined 32 hole Deep Vs should be at our warehouse in mid July or so. Sorry for the huge delay, we're really struggling to keep up right now.

Yo Jimbo's pictures, although very much appreciated are not really accurate. In real life the colors are richer, darker, more vibrant. We actually call the green, "lime green", but apple green is not a bad description either. The pink is pink panther pink, bubble gum pink. I'm talking pink. The purple we fondly refer to as "eggplant purple". One of these days we'll have more white, black, gold & orange. Feel free to suggest other colors of interest.

John
