Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Hmmm... I'm looking at this on my cell phone, but that looks like a finish-line type photo, which might mean it's a composite. I don't think the wheels look like that. I could be wrong though.

Yep. Mavic 5-spoke Io front wheels. They aren't allowed in parimutuel keirin racing in Japan, but are ubiquitous in keirins at the worlds and Olympics. This photo is a finish-line photo, which actually is a series of thin slices taken at 1/100th second intervals. The technique of building the photo causes the spokes to seem curved.

Nothing classic about it. But it's still hot.

That thing is rediculous. I like the Corima Track frame too.
