Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Real-life lightcycles. Granted, you need a boatload of cash to get all the equipment, but it would be pretty awesome.

Why would you need all that *****??? Get a Garmin Etrex Legend GPS unit or similar; Garmin makes a bike clamp for the handlebar as well. Load the city map into the GPS and you will always see where you are. some of them can handle full addresses as well.

You still need the software to generate the "light trails" and determine if a player has "crashed" into one of them. This isn't just a GPS hack for a bike...

That said, I saw that on /. yesterday and I've been dreaming about it since.

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!
