Okay Chicago -
The racing season at the Northbrook velodrome is over (except the Collegiate Nationals, Sept 29-Oct 1). Proposed: $5 in, three events, points for places, 3 places.
Work this on a weekend so the Metra can be used.
Who's in?
What date?
(Would need to be during the day - no lights at night anymore I believe)
Let's not overplan this - fast and dirty.
Throw some dates out Chi-town, and bring your bikes and your wallets.
(ps - helmets are required on the slab...)
***Mods - pls leave in SS/FG. thx***

No Metra this weekend - Jazz Fest. I also think no public holidays otherwise non-rush hours during regular weekdays.
Next weekend is Chicago Botanic Gardens ride, which is Sunday. Saturday may be track.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be coming out to get my ass handed to me (assuming that's what you were talking about), as I'm already taking the 18th off of work for a diabetes walk and don't want to take the whole weekend off work. Maybe things will change.
Of course, I expect to see some good photos, and possibly some film of this event!

I'm still planning on early. If I don't ride with Fred - I'd take the 10:35am out there. Get there at 11:19. Maybe eat a little and so on.
Fred, what time were you thinking of heading up? Maybe take the Metra with us? Save on gas...

Union Station - meet at 9:45 at Clinton and Jackson (entrance to bring your bike through - where we met Jeremy). Bungee cords, definitely.
