Messenger bags in Toronto

Someone name off some places that sell some (good) messenger bags? Recommend any specific bags? Looking for something medium sized for toting around campus.

What about Push The Envelope bags? Local, home-made (can be custom). They should be at the Oct Bike show..

Urbane and Cycle Therapy also sell Ortlieb bags. You can get Crumplers around town as well (those are decent bags that you can also get nice camera equipment inserts for).

In that case, under the weather it is. Time for me to start saving again.

I also have an UTW. I really like it. You can get an UTW at Cavern. They have some there or Sam can make one custom for you. Mine's minor custom: spliced in seatbelt release for the main strap, added some patches, an external pump bag and custom placed a strip of silver reflective stuff.

The only challenge I've had with it is that with an extra heavy load, the claw buckle on the main strap slips a bit. I need to ask Sam what I'm doing wrong.

Push's are nice too. I found the newer buckle system to be more than I need. Also too much plastic. The main strap on UTW uses metall only.

Where is Cavern Cycles? I like the pants they have on the UTW website. Might be interesting to get a pair along with a bag...

I also have a UTW bag...well, 2 if you include the hip sack, plus 2 pairs of pants, a skirt, and i think I'm up to 4 or 5 t-shirts now.
They're not capable of making anything that doesn't kick ass.

yeah, my bag was super custom too. i bought a '78 crown victoria seatbelt on ebay and sent it to 'em to include in the strap. i had a bumblebee stitched in it, with reflective wings. i think there's a picture of it on their "custom" page.

i'm quite happy. very very happy.

I used to live at Greenwood and Queen. There's a nice store on Queen (just east of Coxwell as I recall) that sells all sort of accessories - you may want to check them out.

Have you guys done longer commutes/rides with the bags (60-140k)? Are they uncomfortable? I'm probably going to start riding to campus again - traffic is really pissing me off.

Also trying to decide between the size
16"x14"x8" - 29.3L or
14"x12"x7" - 19.2L

I know you've already decided but I'd like to put in another good word for UTW. I got one, modestly customised and it the price was unbeatable for the quality. After breaking my collar bone I haven't been able to use it and my other bags seem so useless in comparison! You won't be disappointed.

Big bumpity bump bump. I got my custom UTW bag a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. This bag is built to last.
