brakes and painted brake surfaces...
..I've got the brake surfaces of my wheels painted flat black....i'm thinking about throwing on a front brake for the ms100 i'm doing in a couple weeks (supposed to be hilly)... think its ok to just leave the brake surface painted and just let the brake wear the paint off or should i somehow strip the paint first?

If you've got non-machined sidewalls and are running brakes, the brakes will (eventually) machine them for you. Your braking power will suffer some, and if you don't set the pads very carefully they'll squeal rediculously loud.
