Kool stops are orange, so maybe they leave orange marks?
Sheldon thinks they are the best, so maybe give them a try.

You must be 'sensitivebikedude' if you can differentiate between salmon and orange colourwise.

plasmatic spanish fly pads are clear... they never left marks on my ground rear rim that i use for trials... they only come in maggie or V variety, but you could probably mod them to fit fine on some road calipers. trialsin.com and webcyclery carry them.

Salmon or orange they sure look black after you use them a bit. They're also very effective, especially noticable in the wet.
