Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I don't really see that as being a "fixed gear t-shirt". i see it more as being two bikes in love.

sigh.

upper playground is respected in sf too. guess everyone wants to make there $$ off it's rise in recent popularity. I can't wait till everyone gets into unicycles, there will be so many sets of 600$ colored wheel sets on craigslist. so many bikes have been ebayed, shipped to sf recently. ups must have a tired back.

What is wrong with that? Other than the 3-cross front wheel (2 cross, 28H thank you) that's my bike there on the right.

I wonder if there's a threshold for creating new forums....

I mean, I'm roughly 100% sure there's more people browsing the assorted (sometimes tongue-in-cheek) "jaded purist" threads than the whole track sub-forum.

Just sayin.

Fact is the bikes bring a warm feeling of youth to people, so why not put one on a tshirt? Also keep in mind that most drawings of bikes leave out brakes and gears.

The shirt is undeniably sexist. What's that next to the fixie? A "women's" bike! Of course ! Women don't ride fixed gears, they leave that for the macho, manly men and their feats of daring cockitude. Yes, girls, Urban Outfitters prefers you are pregnant, barefoot, in kitchen, freewheeling with brakes. And maybe some star tats.

Oh, just having some fun with it. Who's to say the girl ain't riding the fixed as her boyfriend toils along on a 70lb women's bike?

"take your balls out your purse and ride a fix already," I'd say as they pass by.

j/k
