Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Evan: I like the music you have posted. The vocals remind me of murder city devils in a way. A good way.

thanks for the kind words. murder city devils? havent heard that before. i dig some MCD though.

and yeah, we have a cd released on waking records, the label i do as a non-profit. all profit from the cd is going to hurricane relief for arts and countercultural institutions in New Orleans.

gally - how'd the show with walken go? they rule.

onelesscar - vinyl for our record is being released in the next few months in the UK by a label called strictly no capital letters.

For anyone who might be interesting, my band is playing Fri. in Williamsburg, and I'm having a b'day party on sunday there as well. considering i'm really not too fond of williamsburg, i'm there a lot. Anyway... feel free to come to either, or both! no typical williamsburg pretentiousness will be present, and neither of these events are hip!

11/18
Northsix
66 N. 6th St, Brooklyn (Williamsburg)
$6, 8pm

Dear Tonight
End of a Year
REDS (my band)
The New Dress (female acoustic singalongsongs)

______________________________

11/20
Red and Black
135 N 5th St, Brooklyn (Williamsburg)
FREE!, 7pm

Sinaloa
Puppies
Birthday Boyz
Mike Law (guy from New Idea Society/Eulcid)
All Strangers (Chris from Light the Fuse and Run and Grillo from The Fiction... acoustic)

Also, to fully support partying, the bands will be paid according to how much you drink at the bar... so drink heavily to support the bands!

Evan,

Give Mike Law a good squeeze for me. You should get him to bust out his karaoke version of "Hurts So Good." Solid gold.

Good luck with the show and happy birthday!

m.
