Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

AlexRim Distributer

I'm looking for a 20H and a 32H DA28 AlexRim.
Anyone know of any stores (online or real) that carry them.
My LBS can't seem to get them.

airbomb.com and aebike.com have alex da28 at least with 32 holes. If you call they might be able to get you a 20 hole one as well.

I called, no luck.

It's so frustrating. Alex makes them but no one has them.
I'd rather not buy a Velocity Spartacus for $55 or so, but it's looking like I'll have to if I want to use this Bontager 20H hub.

If they are sold through QBP, any bike shop pretty much can order them up for you. However, if they are not listed as in stock through any of those online QBP vendors (aebike, airbomb, etc) that means that Quality, the supplier, is out. And they're a pretty big (the biggest, I would imagine) supplier of Alex rims.

We have the BIG QBP book at work, and a lot of the stuff they have listed in it they don't have in stock - the quickest way for even ME to check is to go on aebike.com.

I would start poking around on ebay or look for other rim options, sorry to say.

Oh well.
I'll talk to my other LBS in the morning but it looks like a Velocity Spartacus for me.
Ho hum
