Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Mid 90's Panamint frame built up as a singlespeed fixed gear using the White Industries eccentric rear hub
Headshok rigid fork
Mavic Ceramic rims
Sugino RD cranks
Thomson post
Ended up pretty light, about 17 lbs

Looks much different and heavier now as it has fenders, lights, powergrips, and is soon to be studded. It will be ridden through the winter as a commuter.
