Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I'm mainly a lurker around here, but I must agree with some of the other posters here that the mods do seem to not want people actually using this message board anymore.

I checked that thread just about every day, but I guess it pissed off a mod so it is no longer. Too bad. No wonder many of the intelligent users of this board that drew me in have decided to take their typing elsewhere.

well, if it's any consolation, it was pissing me off too. however, what pisses me off more, is when witless wonders pick one thing and harp on it continuously. the old thread didn't disappear, it was just locked, and unstuck. it was cumbersome, and like lotek said, 105 pages of complaining about prices being too high, and arguing about what other people choose to charge for their bikes is more than tiresome.

i still think one thread for all of the ebay/CL stuff is better than a million different threads for each item though, which is how it was before.

i don't post here much anymore because i'm tired of all the nitpicking/complaining and the repetition of questions/topics.

ok, it's time for me to make a big confession. i still don't really understand what it means for a thread to be a sticky. obviously this is out of context, but there's nothing about it on the help page, so lemme just get it over with here.

so let me get this straight...actual discussion on the discussion board is no longer allowed?

the funny thing is most other forums i look at are for software programs.. and the complaining is about the company hosting the forum... and they are more tolerant to complaining then on here..ah the mysteries of this place...

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/bik/96087765.html

heres a post to make it relevent.. but donnt buy that thing.. its more expensive then a new one... oh wait.. was that complaining?

How are you going to know what I want? How am I going to know what I absolutley MUST have when I don't spend all day on ebay without the help of junkies looking all day?

Don't you believe in capitalism? Are you a commie?

I doubt any of us could actually afford this, but I thought it was a pretty cool old bike, and I'm pretty sure it's a SS.

that price actually seems pretty good considering it's a complete, ready to roll, true track bike.
