Brake :(

Ok, I stripped my hub a while ago. I'm really broke right now for stupid reasons and would rather get a new good wheel setup than halfassin it.
So... I'm just gonna roll as a SS for a moment...

I already got the freewheel cog and it's on the bike etc... I ordered a "GoldFinger" stubby break lever and figured I would scrounge up a front break when it arrived.

The lever does not fit my bars.

Can someone please recomend a low key front lever and break combo???? I only need the front so... lil help?

I like psychocross levers up by the stem - a little info on what bars you're running might help for others to chime in...

I've got Sakae drops which run the odd 25.4 near the stem. I just fit up a Shimano Tiagra front caliper set with a stubby little BMX lever right at the stem. The bike's in the garage right now, but i think the lever was a Diatech? It's some cheap-o thing I got for $19, I think it might say Tech99 on it too...If that helps. The tiagra I ordered from my LBS here in Berkeley, was about $30. By no means bomb-proof, but reliable enough for my budget.

I looked around for used, but ran into trouble because of my odd sized bars...

Salsa makes a nice short little cross lever that will fit your 26 bars, and they come with a handful of shims too, but it'll run $40 and they're sold as a pair.

I say go to some skate/BMX shop and root through the levers...Hope this helps.
