BFFGMNG Props + route maps

Big thanks to Absntr and the rest of the DCC crew for putting on a great day today. It was my first alleycat and it was a complete blast.

Here's my race map. I put it just over 21 miles which isn't too bad as Naz said the shortest route was 20 miles.

Anyway, I wants to see your routes. Here's a map with the starting point marked ready for you to fill in. So be getting to it!

Also, I had to leave the party early, but I'd love to see a listing of the prizes what, who & why.

It was good to meet those I haven't before, and good to see again those I've already meet. Boo ya to you all.

Could/did someone (Naz?) post the finishing order?
And, thanks again to everyone who helped organize the whole thing (esp. the alley cat), But what sort of sadistic mf'er thinks dry tea is somthing good to eat? whisky and rum are fine, i can even (if i have to) drink red bull, but dry tea?

Yeah, the lake shore wind was nasty. I thought about it, but decided against it. I'd rather go out of my way than fight that.

And where'd you have to eat tea? That's just crazy.

teabags? what a jerk! I'll bet that didn't help the fact that you were panting for water and out of breath.

Steak and I took the lakeshore path to get to the checkpoint we manned and were hoping more people would take it because of the headwind. heehee

As far as this whole stunt of going up to the tower I won't say anything. But, I will say that the Lounge was open and that was were you can get the matchbook. So, if you wanted to be a dummy and wait in line you could do that. But, if you wanted to be slick you could do what you did.

But, the race is over and you were tearing it up all over the course! Mad props and I look forward to racing with you again sometime!

Props on the race. It was a fun course and I can't wait to see some of the footage.

I second the request for footage! I also second Super Rookie's props to Msngr. He's so hardcore, he almost got me to roll down a set of stairs until I realized he was only joking.

The headwind on the lakeshore path sucked, but not as much as doing a combined total of 50 push-ups at the first three checkpoints. At least I got some old ladies to cheer me on at the Hancock Tower.

Here is my "route" I am not exactly positive that its right, but the fact that it came out at nearly 27 miles makes me think that my assumption of being about 5-6 miles lost was right.

for everyone else's edification, kiecker was wearing an enormous orange bag for the race. i couldn't see around it when he was ahead of me in traffic, and he was rocking a brake (smart). so it made for some hairy riding for me for a while. i actually hated that bag.
congrats on the win, kiecker. i'll ride with you any time.

the DFL pirates did this: https://tinyurl.com/785jz

Yep we were pretty lost up Ashland Ave, but once we figured it out we were ok, i suggested LSD because it would be a nice view, unfortunately it was already dark, so it was just windy. 27 some miles. after we saw logan circle chkpt was unmanned we took pictures everywhere to prove we made it.

Grr - Ashland. Following you guys. Thinking I was heading south. Wondering why I seemed further north than I should be. Taking a left thinking that it would take me towards the lake...

Grr.

It was you, SR, Msngr, me and Stickyfoot; and it was awsome, Tim I def. can't wait for the footage should be great. Nice job on the win again Kiecker, I took Shants down some down a 6 set of steps at steaks CP kinda funny prolly why my DA hub was a little rough afterwards.

Not sure why it throws one of the waypoints out into the lake, but just ignore that....

Elston on the way to the first checkpoint was the jam -- fast, smooth, and wide open.
