hinged clamp cross levers

I'm looking at Soma and Paul Components. The Pauls looks sweet and minimalist - but the soma has a barrel adjuster which might be nice. Anyone have experience with these? I will run whatever lever with a shimano 105 front caliper brake.

afaik, the somas are just rebranded tektros, which have worked great on my bike for over a year. The hinged clamp also makes it much easier to change/remove components w/o needing to unwrap/rewrap your bars. (this is especially important if you use the same bike for velo and street)

you should only ever need one barrel adjuster in the sytem so if you've got one on your caliper, you shouldn't feel you need one on the lever as well. if, however, you've got some sort of centerpull brake with no barrel adj at the hanger, maybe you would like one one the lever.
just a thought.

I like 'em just fine. I use one with an old Acera road brake. It's a rebadged Tektro RX 2.0.
