Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

well, if sparks makes people promise to make other people dinner, then flake, not call, and later confirm no dinner after the fact via text message, it is indeed the devil's drink.

*EHEM* tink *cough cough*

but you can't blame the sparks for that sort of behavoir.

So one time I had 7 Sparks and then a bunch of Sake. But if I would have tried posting a thread about it. I do believe that it would have looked like this.

The massive amount of sugar means that my stomach has a hard time dealing with more than three in a sitting. I'll stick to Rainier

I do feel like ****ing superman after drinking a few of them in a row though.

I like to have one at the beginning of a ride, then pbr and jameson for subsequent stops. Whenever I get to wherever it is that I feel like I'm going to turn around at, I have another one there.

It seems to work well. It's not drinking responsibly, but it's drinking intelligently

It is. Trust me on this, I am a quite accomplished, fully functional drunk. There are many tricks that I've learned along the way. This is one of them. It results in:

1) A good ride, that I have energy for
2) A nice buzz, but I can still find my way home
3) A much better feeling digestive system the next day

Give it a few years. You're just a kid. If you stay on the same path with the Sparqs, you're going to need this advice sometime soon...

sparks is weird; i have to drink like three of them to feel anything at all. and then usually it just makes my anxiety act up probably because i am hyperactive and it is an energy drink mixed with alcohol. if i want to get drunk quick i just go for a 40 of hurricane and a few yeunglings to follow it up... guess i'm boring

maybe i should try the sparks thing again though... perhaps if i blast through four of them really fast i'll get tipsy. it's pretty tasty, that's for sure.

i drank 4 sparks in less than 2 hours the other night, followed by a couple high lifes and a swig of jd. on an empty stomach. it was all the alchohol i had in the house and i was desperate. sometimes you gotta...

anyway, i learned that puking up sparks is a thoroughly revolting experience.

if i need an extra kick, i'm gonna start making mixdrinks with steven segal 'lightening bolt' energy drink. heck yes!!

Are we talking regular ranier 40's, or the good stuff....Rainier Ale 40's? I thought I remembered seeing them at this little corner market right by my house but now i'm not so sure. I'll check it out this weekend, the name of it is Swan Mart and it's ridiculously overpriced and located on Barbur Blvd. When i used to go to school in McMinnville you could find those mother****ers everywhere. Probably because th town's so white trash. If I find them, I'll let you know.
