this will be hard to explain but I took a plank of wood, and attached a small block to the top and bottom, then put slightly larger blocks attached to them making sort of an elongated S shape. the top hook goes over the beam in my garage and gets a clamp to hold it, and the bottom hook holds the bike usually I put a clean towel in the crevice then wrap the top tube with it, and hold the bike steady with a bungee.
