Route to Philly
I'm working on a bike route to git my arse to Philly for the holiday.
This path is going to be from QNS to Center City Phildelphia.
I have a couple of maps on bike friendly roads in and around philly-
it's really navigating through New Jersey thats the issue.
If anyone has any sugestions, or a planned out route let me know.
Time estimates are also helpful.

I dunno about north jersey, but I rode through to the northest part of south jersey...
look at google maps and find something that goes alongside rt 130 as best as possible (rt 130 becomes ben franklin bridge, best/only philly to jersey bridge for bikes). I rode on 130 for a mile or two, it was some nuts highway sh*t. if you can find it, river road was pretty pleasant except for a little bit of it that goes through the hoods of north camden.
once you get into philly, chestnut and walnut are your best east- and west-bound friends.

back during early september three friends and i rode from philly to boston. the first leg of our trip was with the bicycle club of philadelphia's annual peter odell memorial ride . a bike trip that goes from the art museum to brooklyn in a day. the link provided is from 2004 and the cue sheet isn't posted online since it's a $paid$ event. but if you email ted (address at the bottom of the aforementioned url) and ask politely and explain your situation he may hook up up with this super bike friendly route. the total mileage may be around 150 from queens which is incidently where we stayed after riding to brooklyn.
