Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

he was as normal as pumpkin pie. now look at him.

man, I just put my track bike back together. I got an old cinelli steel track stem and drops. MAN! SO stiff. i love it. little wide (about a 40), but amazing. 52-16 gearing (until i find a lockring tool)...SO fast, just wrench on the bars. nothing flexes. stoked on life...tooled on bike. rode. watched Breaking Away. Could life get any better? merry f'in christmas.

i just ordered some chinese food, started getting a few ridiculously large discographies, and may just watch the Triplettes of Bellville, again.

Happy chanukah to me.
Merry christmas to you.
