Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

bicycles are red hot.

one of the most obnoxious songs ever. decided to check out tv on the radio, and what better song than one called "bicycles are red hot"? music = cool, singer = most annoying voice i've ever heard. **** those guys.

oh, and there's no way i can know if the bicycles are single speed or fixed gear, but since they're red hot, it only makes sense that they would be.

I like the voice of the lead singer. Fits in well with their music.

I only ever had the EP and heard the full album was pretty weak. I am extremely anti-a cappella so I never could concede tracks like Mr. Grieves anyway.

Queen's song is great but my favorite bike-related song is "bike" by Pink Floyd. Only the first verse mentions a bike:

Iíve got a bike. you can ride it if you like.
Itís got a basket, a bell that rings and
Things to make it look good.
Iíd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it.

early floyd. the song is so bizarre!
