Replacement Decals...?
I am in the midst of purchace of an NJS Level frame. The frame is gorgeous but is used and I would love to put a nice paint job on it, but I want to keep the decals. Is there anywhere to purchase replacements?

Do a google on decal paper. You can make your own with the right jpeg file of your logo and a printer. Historically accurate even. My buddy restore a Centurion and found the images, got the paper and put them on.
My understanding is the decal paper for an inkjet comes with a coating for preservation.

it'll cost you (and take a while), but cyclart can surely either replace with factory replicas or recreate the decals exactly as part of a re-finish.

Just click the link I posted and order some decals from Michael before he raises his prices. If you need testamonials. check the vintage forum.

i remember a thread a few weeks ago, but everyone was just talking about cut vinyl decals. is there anyone out there that makes the old school soak-in-water model airplane style decals that most old bike decals seem like they are (would obviously need a clear coat over them).
i know of some model train companies that make them, especially for graffiti on trains, but haven't seen it on a large scale.
"You can make your own with the right jpeg file of your logo and a printer"
if you're going to shoot out quality images from a desktop printer - make sure your images are vector (optimal - web.brandsoftheworld.com) or 300dpi. even though the printer will probably only print at around 200 dpi, with a high apparent resolution, you still might get some noise unless your desktop printer is some pimp ****.

There's a cat on the Classic and Vintage forum, mswantak, who reproduces decals, very highly regarded. If you are looking for older stuff, you might query there. He's got a web site. I'll post it if I can track it down.

This might be of use to no one but I have an extra set of Surly Steamroller decals that came with the frame when I ordered it. Let me know if any of you guys need them as I've already sold the damn thing..

Suzie Q.
She made me two custom Bianchi downtube decals for $20.
www.decalzbysuzieq.com
She does all Johnny Cycles' stencils and decals.
Great work.
You'd be stupid not to go to her.

Hands down the ugliest decals ever designed.

Check out #2,785 on my signature - bottom picture.
I told her what I wanted and sent her a pic and she made it.
I sort of lucked out because the "Bianchi" font wasn't too hard to find.
But if you can get her a picture of what you're looking for, I'm sure she can make it happen.
