My old whip...something about VW's and fixies.

RIP

Currently I've got a 93 240sx sitting outside of my house that I lost the keys for and haven't driven in like four months, and I also have a 2001 A41.8tQS.

I really really really want another MK3 though. I hate the Audi.

I had an '86 240 GL until 2003. Its electrical system failed a number of times. I achieved an in depth knowledge of which fuse performed which function. Also had some altenator problems. And it never broke 100k miles. But in addition to being one of the safest cars on the planet, i remember hearing that the volvos and saabs were the "best cars to hit a moose with." I guess thats important for northerners.

I just inherited a '96 BMW 525i. It's currently sitting in a snowbank in NH as I really cant afford to keep it in Boston. My parents were using my '96 volvo 970 wagon this summer and forgot to put coolant in the engine. Cracked the block. I loved that car.

It could be worse - you could be in a Dodge Magnum. It's like driving a coffin. At least you're using the Hummer for it's intended purpose, that being off-road and foul conditions driving. I always laugh when I see people trying to parallel park their Hummers downtown.

I have a 99 Nissan Sentra and it has about 50,000 miles on it. I drove it maybe 5 miles a month the last three years. Everything else was from commuting in Los Angeles before that.

I want to sell it and get a truck to haul my art stuff around, hopefully a hybrid truck if i can find one that doesn't look like a spaceship. toyota makes one but it's straight ugly and i don't know if they're even available yet. chevy silverado isn't so bad but it's a little too beefy and it will cost at least 30 grand... a little pricy for me. same with the sierra. why don't they just make a nice modest cheap hybrid truck?

I have a truck, it's a 98 Ranger manual (manuals are exceedingly difficult to find I learned ... I hate driving automatics). My first American motorized vehicle ... I don't lump trucks into my arbitrary prejudice against American automobiles.

I got it when my Civic, which I had for maybe 4 months, was stolen. After that I decided to say f*ck to cars, I haul more stuff than people any way. Although it got amazing gas mileage. The Civic replaced my 94 Jetta which had been living like every day was it's last since I left Boston over 2 yrs ago. That thing was a trooper, we had many adventures together ... sigh.

Anyway, my truck's spare tire is currently in the cab because I haven't gotten around to putting it underneath and locking it properly. Someone stole the previous spare this past fall. I love Chicago.

You don't need to convert anything to use bio-diesel. You need to do a conversion to run straight veg oil. Mmmmm....Fries. I recently aquired a long commute with a great new job. I'm thinking of getting an old diesel VW and commuting in that with bio-diesel. Commuting in my truck makes me feel like part of the problem.
