Dunno. I just want the front hub. Anybody know a good price on front hub only?

I also kinda lust after the Supertype seatpost, but I don't really need one.

i don't know what use this'll be to you, but i contacted miche's distributor to track down a seatpost (i have primato cranks and hubs and was thinking about going for a full gruppo). they told me any of their regular retailers can order whatever you want direct from them. so, for example, trackstar could order you a set. not sure what it would cost but there's no harm in asking.

nb people say the miche bb sucks.

Miche bbb seems pretty nice to me although I haven't ridden on it yet. It's about the only option out there I know of if you want an ISO taper 107mm BB.

It's what the Miche cranks call for, and great for converting campy road cranks to ss.

i don't believe Shimano square taper BBs are compatible with Miche cranks. i believe they're JIS rather than ISO. i have a Campy ISO BB with my Miche and it's a perfect fit

+1

although I have used a campy crank on a JIS taper BB, it doesn't fully seat which pushes the chainline out a couple mm

more importantly, if it doesn't seat properly, the incongruity can lead to rounding out the crank hole or the taper itself (usually the crank, unfortunately). it's not just somewhat ghetto, it can **** up your gear.

well I just called worldclass, the price is higher by 40 bucks then on their website, and they don't keep them in stock. Supposedly it only takes them a day to get it however, oh and no low flange track hubs, they take 2 months to order?

is that 390 for all of the components you listed PLUS cranks and chainring, or minus those?

i clearly remember it being sub-$200 somewhere, but i am trying to find it. that probably means i have no idea what i'm talking about.

that aside, you have to use miche everything with their group - their rings, their bb... i'm not sure about cogs though.

Unless I'm mistaken you can use any 135bcd chainring, and I know you can use any standard threaded cog. The BB is a bit unusual being 107 ISO taper. Miche tends to go with "campy standard" dimensions rather than "Shimano standard", so interchangeable parts are not as common as they are with Japanese brands.

$350 sounds a lot minus cranks/chainring

i bought my Miche stuff from other people (hubs were new though, crankset in perfect condition) and paid $250 for hubs, cranks, chainring and Campy BB.

I replaced my Miche bb with a 107mm Shimano UN-72 after months of frustration and ended up solving two problems at once. First was the pain of the double adjustable cups on the Miche that kept loosening, second was a constant loosening of the cranks on the bb spindle. I haven't had any problems since installing the Shimano, and my chainline is fine.

The rest of the gruppo has been ok. I like the cranks and seatpost best. Hubs are on par with much else that's out there.
