Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Asking about messenger jobs...Pedex is over there trying to explain some things I think. I just kind of sat here, read it, smirked, and figured some people will never get it.

hehe. however i consider Boston to be more dangerous to ride in than SF, LA, or NYC. The reason being is that the drivers here aren't used to bikes being in the road...at all. Our street layout is irregular at best. Even in the financial district, cars aren't always hip to bike traffic. the exception is Cambridge, which is pretty bike friendly.

Wow, I couldn't even bear go to the third page. My favorite was the guy that asked how a fixed gear bike could get a decent jump at a traffic light. gah...I'm too drunk to deal with this.
