so i have vertical drop outs. does that make it impossible?

onetwentyeight 01-18-06 11:50 PM

you didn't go to either of those webpages, did you?

maxknee 01-18-06 11:53 PM

i did. i've read those pages a million times. i've spent months researching this before i even posted here.

i dont quite understand all this business: vertical dropouts=flip flop hub
i am just looking for a little guidence here.

then the answer is yes, you can use them. It might be a little tricky, but the white industries hub will make things a lot easier for you. The hardpart about the vertical drop outs is getting proper chain tension. http://sheldonbrown.com/fixed-conversion.html#vertical explains it pretty clearly.

a flip flop hub is just a hub that is threaded for a cog+lockring on one side, and a bmx freewheel cog on the other. It's not specific to frames with vertical drop outs.

1. go to www.yahoo.com
2. type in white industries
3. go to their website and look at the eno hub
