so i have vertical drop outs. does that make it impossible?
|
you didn't go to either of those webpages, did you?
|
i did. i've read those pages a million times. i've spent months researching this before i even posted here.
i dont quite understand all this business: vertical dropouts=flip flop hub i am just looking for a little guidence here. |
then the answer is yes, you can use them. It might be a little tricky, but the white industries hub will make things a lot easier for you. The hardpart about the vertical drop outs is getting proper chain tension. http://sheldonbrown.com/fixed-conversion.html#vertical explains it pretty clearly.
a flip flop hub is just a hub that is threaded for a cog+lockring on one side, and a bmx freewheel cog on the other. It's not specific to frames with vertical drop outs. |
