Like hell freezing over, except opposite

It was a confusing 55 degrees in Boston today, right in the god damn middle of January. Great timing, as I just put on a new cog (15t instead of 16t with a 44t chainwheel) and was itching to go on a nice long ride without having to worry about my ears freezing off (for me, it's either a helmet or a wool cap, they don't work together.)

Anyone else take advantage of the weather in Boston today?

its been stupidly warm in philly for near 2 weeks now, minus one cold, windy, snowy night after a 65 degree day.

somethin's wierd about all this... really.

Yeah... it was 56 degrees in philly this afternoon. I rode to school this morning with a pea-coat over a sweatshirt. On the way back I had to stuff both into my bag cause I was hot as ****. I am really scared to think about what summer is going to be like.

50s-60s in Richmond today and yesterday. I've been practically glued to Kelley the entire time.

I'm gonna go completely girl for a second and point out that I read in cosmo (take a second to laugh there) that due to all the earth's environmental changes and ****, in a hundred years or more (I don't remember specifics) there will be no cold weather. Hell if I know who decided the definition of cold or what scientists figured that out or why Cosmo cares...but thought I'd share.

60's here in baltimore, last summer in dc was insane, I'd get off of work and dread the walk accross the street from the building I was working in to the parking deck. I could be wrong, but something like 110 in dc one day? dc people?

hopefuly all those cans of aeresol I've been spraying out my window have finally taken out winter in a swift 1-2 blow!

Then again I wouldn't use Cosmo as a reference in a college paper. Not exactly an academic journal.

F*ck that. I'm using it.
I'm going to write a paper next year on global warming and reference Cosmo like it's my job.

Congrats on the nice weather, we had it yesterday. NYC (and probably philly) weather tends to be 1 day behind Chicago. HAHHAHHAHHAH you're all gonna get it tomorrow!

There have been 4 ice ages over the last several million years. Between them it got warm. Don't think your lifespan knowledge of climate change is the template in which these things happen.

as good cyclists, we are required to mention the petrol thing...

i've been enjoying the warm, stuck here in central ohio, but going back and forth causes the trails to be muddy.

I just got back from riding to Davis Square from Jamaica Plain. Hammering up Mass Ave was amazing. I almost stopped on the bridge to take in the view it was that pleasant. Mind you, it's 3am, and I have some kind of bronchitis which makes me cough up body parts when I'm done riding. But I just couldn't resist this faux-spring we're having. So much better than last January! And the one before, and the one before, ad infinitum.
