Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? standard crow's foot is 6 (or 10) spokes in a set, 3 (or 5) on each side. So you need to use a hub that's drilling is divisible by 6 (or 10). 24, 30 (custom), 36, 42 (custom); or 30, 40, 50 (all custom)

4 leading 4 trailing can be done with 32h...

(This is 3 leading 3 trailing tho.... I'd still go with 3x)

2 leading 2 trailing is a much, MUCH safer bet than 4L4T, but 3x is the one that any shop will know how to deal with.
