Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

track frame building: sizing & design questions

i posted this on the framebuilders section, but figured this might get some response b/c i've seen afew people build frames and post them on here.

my boss at the shop i work at has some old tubing and lugs and has built frames before (only road) and said we could build me up a track frame. yet, it is up to me to do the design & sizing. i've tried jumping around to various frame building sites, but none of them are specific to track frames (aside from the littlefish site, which didn't help much with sizing).

do you have any suggestions with the sizing or design? any websites, etc?

what are your experiences with building frames?

he has a BB shell, but i think it's for a road frame (if that's possible). am i going to need to get a specific BB shell (or modify this one) to deal with the higher BB and different angles?
