Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Brooks Swift ate my pants! Warning: butt pics inside

This damn saddle is a month old and its eaten 3 pairs of pants! You would figure a $200.00 saddle would be made a little better. Some of the copper rivets were sharp enough to cut into my pants.

To sum it up. This saddle sucks! Even if it was just a fluke, this damn thing cost me 3 pairs of $70.00+ jeans.

I've had that problem too

I recently got a Brooks saddle and it hasn't yet eaten any jeans. I've put around 600 or so miles on it so far.

I had this happen to me last month on a bike pub crawl. I'd put my weight forward to skid and tear it open further...and further. Spent the next five hours with a hole from my pocket to knee, going from bar to bar with my boxers showing.

This was on an old Rolls saddle from the 80s.

gotta be pretty common.

Koffee, icithecat,Spud. I did say.. better Butt pics upon request.

Ch0mb0: Adam Hays at our shop drew up the design. he has another one drawn up for the other side of my leg.

el twe: I have a few pairs of 501 and they did the same thing. The $70 ones are from Banana republic. Silly me thought that better jeans would last longer.
