Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

if anyone can point my friend in the right direction to build up a singlespeed or know anyone that has one for sale, shoot me a PM or post here as a reference. she's 5'1", so i don't really know what size frame she'd need. cheap in $$ but not necessarily in quality is good, but she won't be riding it that hard.

There is a short (49ish) lugged road frame at the times-up! space that I bet they would sell for 50 bucks or less.
