Friday night Montanovelo ride

Hey y'all East-Bay/SFers,
What's up with the fixed ride I hear about convening at Montanovelo in Oakland on friday nights? I forget what time it's supposed to start, anyone go to this/thinking about going tomorrow night? I'm definitely down to ride if the weather holds up. Any interest?

Hey,
Just bumping this thread to remind all of you to come check out this ride. I've done it the past 2 fridays and am excited for the next one.
I know how a lot of you SF kids like to hang out in parking lots and stuff and not really ride anywhere but this ride kicks ass.
It's about a 26 mile round trip from Oakland to Richmond and back, riding mostly along the bay trail, with 2 stops to drink and a raging, twisty race to the far point of the Richmond marina. On top of that you get to hang out at montanovelo, the best bike shop I've found in the bay area, and end up at Lane-Splitters for pizza and beer.
I know the east bay can seem like a really distant place at times, but it's only like, 4 BART stops form embarcadero to macarthur station, then a 1 mile ride to the shop:
https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=14313
Folks generally meet up at 7PM and leave by 730
hope to see you there, the more the merrier.

I been wanting to do this ride for some time... I'll be at a "strategy meeting" tomorrow though. What I've heard, the ride sometimes go down Hollis in Emeryville. Right past the new bar opened by DJ Kitty of KALX called... you guessed it, Kitty's! I would like to see this place taken over with bikes (it has a back yard!) It could be like Zeitgeist east, but with some class.
O.K... there could never be another Zeitgeist, but still bikes, bars, and backyards.

I'm going to try my best to make it with the new bike...I'm on the road from 8 til 6, though, so I'll have to see if I've got the juice for it.

weird. I googled for bay trail oakland gmaps pedometer, hoping to find a mapped route to send to a friend, and instead I find a two year old thread with a bunch of people I know in it.

I don't know if they're even still doing the friday night ride.
