Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? damn critical mass.

starting at 5:30, not whenever ian cruises in. i'd be there now if the latter schedule were an option, or if i had my **** together and got out the door earlier. ah, well...next month, if work allows.

oh yeah CM is tonight...i guess i forgot...went last month after not going for years...
i ****ing hate that **** and probs won't ride again. so much stupid attention seeking. and then stopping in the middle of the road and pretending like you own it, holding your bicycles aloft and screaming and such. dont get me wrong, i am all about cyclists rights, etc. i've never owned a car, let alone had a liscence, deal with ******* drivers daily, but there is something about the CM crowd that just irks me nowadays or maybe they just ride far too friggin slow? taking over the streets is an awesome idea, bikes are traffic too, but blocking people and yelling at them after a hard days work just doesnt make sense to me.

you mean just riding like an ass? i guess it feels like sweet revenge...but it could actually piss some people off who weren't pissed off before.

and riding slow, i have a hard time with it. my main thing was that since i've been out of town for a while, i want to get back into the swing of things and the scene and all, meeting people...all that sort of thing.

yeah , riding around like asses, like its a goddamned circus...makes people think bikes are only for clowns and trained bears...not that there is anything wrong with those two groups...i have no desire to meet anyone at CM so maybe thats part of it as well, the social aspect.

hey, wtf, maybe ill go find them right now...its 6:35 here and i need to go for a ride...will it be leather or gortex tonight?

ill report back later...

if i didn't have to allow myself at least 20 minutes (in case of headwind) to get downtown, i'd have tried to find them. plus, i don't know the route.

cm has good intentions, but I always feel sorry for the working class who are just trying to get home to there families. i'm sure there is a % that take public transportation on last fridays. that's the point. in the end a large percentage of the "riders" are weekend warriors who drove there cars the other 29 days of the month. it's a mix.

Just completed the Atlanta CM and must say I was surprised by the turnout. 150 people was a stoke but the cliques reminded me of highschool. Look dude, your trackstand skills really don't give you permission to throw attitude.

I just got back from Critical Mass San Diego, Man, it's the lamest thing in the world. I don't know why I keep going. First, it never starts up on time. It's 7:00pm, but we always go at 7:30 or 7:45pm.

People go waaaaaayyy too fast. There were like 4 big chunk of groups that got left behind within the first 30 mins of the whole thing. There's a bunch of lame hipsters who drink and ride and run red lights. I witness a near accident like two times.

I miss the Providence CMs and I really really miss the NYC CMs.

Hey!!! NYC CMers, come on over to San Diego and teach these poor saps what CMs is really about!!!
