Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Cheap track bike rundown!

Okay, okay, I will probably get shot for this, BUT, I've searched long and hard, even been lurking for months for answers to this conundrum. What the heck parts are these ebay rides running?! I know, I know +insert ebay description here+ That answers all! Ha! Also, it's good / bad, frame is okay, wheels are bad, yadda yadda. Lets say you want to change one of those *blanks* out! What is it!? Get the drift? I'll start!

Mercier Kilo TT
Dura Ace 16t 1/2" 3/32 cog
no name lockring
Kenda Koncept tire 700/23C

That's all I have, nothing else seems to be stamped, etc. I haven't taken it very far apart yet!

Anyways, since the question gets asked alot, and in my searching for parts to replace excitement, had questions, I hope this thread can answer alot! Add what you know! Have fun! Be safe! Wear a helmet! Annnnnnnd Go!

How the eff IS that cheap ebay ride built? What's it built with?! How do I replace that when I don't know what that is?!
