reload strap pad (sewed on one)

..--``Xx~~~***^%^%please dont hate me for posting a bag thread%^%^***~~~xX``--..

i'm looking to get a reload courier bag and, coming from a chrome bag, i'm not trying to go cold turkey into unpadded straps, sooooo i'm looking to get one of those pads that attack to the actual bag. my question is...uh...how are they? the pad that is. they look pretty serious, but i havent seen that much of it, just little peeks in a few pictures. is it ugly or too much or anything?

and the little RE patch, can you ask them to not put on one? or move? or just one of the little tab ones

this is my birthday present to myself, so i wanna get it just right!

thanks

Everything you need to know about the pad is here. I don't know if they won't put their name on the bag, but it never hurts to ask.

but...thats not everything i want to know about the pad, i was asking if anyone had any problems with it or if it was ugly or too bulky

and "Completely radio holder-compatible, and movable." raises questions, because does that mean the strap pad is movable? cause it looks sewed onto the body

Just send Roland an email; they can do anything you want. I don't have a strap on mine, but my friend has one on his, and when I threw his over my shoulder, the pad felt just right for carrying a heavy load....and his moves around on the strap so you can position it where you want.

Oh, well sorry about that. I don't have the pad thats on that page, I have the smaller removable one. It works pretty well for me. If you have a bigger bag, that strap, I assume, would be better because part of the bag sits on your shoulder, and the pad covers that part.

Certainly the Pie. In fact, my mother just phoned and asked what kind of pie I would like for my birthday. I, of course, said "NJS pie only, please mother."

take a look at their custom stock page. it seems that the tag can be placed anywhere, and some of them are not even pictured.

NO TAG:

why don't you just send them the patch to sew on for you? prolly way easier than trying to do it yourself without going thru the liner

yeah, the pad is real nice. The base of the pad where it connects to the bag, is velcro, so you can undo it, slide it up or down, etc. Its good...real good.

awesome, thats what i was looking to hear

i probably wont do anything with patches, i've had a few bike related ones for awhile but nothing to put them on really. i'll probably just get a black sweatshirt...

i'm probably going to get black with black trim, red thread, black velcro, so a big green patch might break up the subtlty of the bag

the pad is quite nice, ive got the courier (their biggest bag) and i love it. it sits really nicely on the back, the only down side is a strange strap adjustment, but you never really need to adjust the strap so.
ps get the extra pockets because the stoock one just isnt enough
enjoy your day
