First fixie (X0-1)-what gearing ratios and how to add more gears/versatility?

First fixie (X0-1)-what gearing ratios and how to add more gears/versatility?

I'm 44, in very good shape (I work out 2x/day) but this fixie
concept is new to me, however…so I don't know what size front ring I should
get or what to consider for the rear cassette.
Lastly, I thought white industries was to make a 'dos eno' fixie cassette
(like their single speed dos eno) but to no avail, I have found….any ideas how to add a few more gears to my X01 fixie bike for more versatility when you're a bit low on inner petrol, ie, could I put a white industries dos eno on one side and a fixie on the other? Again, excuse my naivete but it is new, so be patient.

flip-flop fixed/fixed if you want two fixed gear options during a ride, or you can buy more wheels and put different track cogs on them...i do not think there are any other possibilities, i suppose you could buy/carry a set of different chainrings and swap them instead.

Uhm. Sturmey Archer hub?
Really, just tough it up. You only need 1. It really is a ratio between the front and the back that matters... I like around 71-72 gear inches, but I have to deal w/ a lot of hills.

unless you have a source and cash for a Sturmey archer ASC 3 speed fixed hub.
or have a bendix that you want to modify
in vancouver I'm at ~70 inches. i think it's a good complromise.

White Industries makes the "dos" eno freewheel, primarily intended for SS. If you have a flip-flop hub and and a dos on the on the freewheel side, that's three gearing options and no shifters. Could be useful.
Or you could just ride it and discover that multiple gears really aren't that necessary after a little while.

I am older than you and I live in a hilly area. I was thinking about fixed/free hub before I started riding fixed. Now I do not think its a good idea. You do swap gears as you get stronger/more adjusted to fixed riding meaning once per month or two, not a contant click-clack like on a geared bike. 
I ride something around 70 inches, first 50/19 now 50/18.
