Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

teh spoke card zine project

with all the spoke cards going around and some of the classic artwork on them, i want to do a project to showcase them. if you're down to help with this, you can submit one of two ways:

1. send a spoke card or multiples to me to be scanned - PM me for my address
2. send a hi res (300 dpi) scan of both sides - even if one is blank

the end result will be a small zine of 20 of the best (maybe a 2nd volume if the response is good) and a web gallery of all submissions. anyone who snail mails a spoke card will get a free copy along with someone else's card sent in return. the rest will be sold for $2 to cover postage and copy costs.

i will set a loose deadline of st patrick's day for this so it can be compiled by the end of march.

I'm in, but I find it ironic that when I requested a pdf of your secret santa card you refused, and now you're asking us to send you high-res stuff.

Looking forward to actually being able to see Shants' design(s). At least, I think I am.

Good stuff man.. I'll try and send you some extra goodies to cover the extra cost to Canaduh.

the reason i wouldn't send you my vector art is that its being used on other projects and that it took me a several days to research and create the guns. you'll be seeing the vuittonjs pop up soon. it'll probably make some of you angry. i can't wait.

i want a hi-res shot of the card in the plastic - in its element - not just the artwork. if its been in your wheel for 6 months and is torn up, i want that wear visible! this is to document as the little pieces of art some of them are turning into, not to cop a dollar.
