Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Question about upgrading cranks

I currently have just a cheap pair of low end Suginos and I'm thinking of getting a set of either Miche, Campys, or nicer Suginos. My question is: Being that I only weigh 90 pounds and don't ride my bike on the track but just on the street, will I notice a major difference from this upgrade.

90 pounds? 15 y o girl or what? I don't think you'll notice. I weigh 134 and I can't really feel any flex even though I have the crappyest cranks on this board.

with 90 pounds I highly doubt you'll notice increased stiffness, especially on the road

i only weigh 135-140 and could very definitely feel the increase in stiffness when i went from sugino rds to sugino 75s. just sayin'.

at 90, if you like to ride hard, i suspect you'd notice the same. it depends on what model of sugino cranks that you currently ride, i suppose.
