Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

With the season only six weeks away I need to focus on specifics.

do you "post" when you fart while riding a fixed gear bicycle?

i try to time my release when skidding. that way my tires cover up the sound of breaking wind, but that probably won't work on the track.
you could go for the whole "vapor trail" thing. east lots o' garlic"P

Learning to fart while riding a fixie was harder than learning to trackstand.

I was riding a century on my roadie and towards the end I was farting so much; it ruled.

If the Gods walked among us, as in the nordic or greek mythology, I would have a keen eye on you Pope as the God of humour.Do you preach somewhere? Im not interested myself, but I know of a good few people that could use a good preaching from a Pope..

Now all we need is someone to go : OH YEAH, and start writing as if they were picking a fight in a bar..

sometimes i'm too busy pedaling to fart. then when i get off, i let a really huge one and giggle as everyone around me gags and gasps for un"taint"ed air.

One of the reasons I quit my job to be a messenger so many years ago in the first place was so I could fart indiscriminately. Now, I fart while riding. I fart while unlocking. I fart while locking. I need to perfect my technique & scent to work to my advantage when I know my wheel's being sucked. That'd be sweet.

I fart a lot because I eat too fast. I've become quite good at judging the stinky-factor my the way my stomach feels. I can also manipulate my butt cheeks to make them louder or quieter, and avoid "juice." This allows me to optimize my farting to a variety of different situations.

I'm not trying to be all crabby and whatever but I meant this thread to centered on farting WHILE fixie riding. We're drifting off-topic.
