some girl honked at me so i scared her

So I'm riding back home from campus on the far right side of the right lane. Then some car comes speeding up behind me, almost clips my back tire and honks. There isnt much I can do since there are 2 other cyclists (going about 10mph slower) about 20 ft ahead of me. So being the nice guy that I am and not wanting to slow this car down I speed up more and pass the 2 cyclists. About 5 seconds later the car honks again and passes me with less than 12 inches to spare. The passanger (girl) screams "MOVE" as they pass me.

**** her.

I keep going keeping an eye on them. They get the red light and are about 5 cars back from the light. I keep going and pass them and the 5 cars ahead as the light turns green.

A little later they pass me again and pull into the CVS parking lot. I pull up behind them and the girl sees me waiting behind their car. She keeps looking back at me and back at her bf. I didnt want to scare her so I smiled and made the "roll down your window" motion with my hand. They both exit the car and I said, "Would you look at that, we still both got here at the same time."

silence from her for about 5 seconds followed by, "whatever"

Then i rode away.

I should have fallen in front of their car and gotten killed, that would have showed them!

At the light you should have walked directly up and over the top of the car, jumping once or twice on the roof as you went.

I have a bit of a temper problem.

cause its not like i made anything up like "your mom is a *****" or "you look like crap" but what i said was the truth and they knew it. you cant screw with the truth ya know.

although it would have been so much funnier if you had her roll down her window and said "your mom is a *****"

For short trips, even if you're able to sustain a higher speed, the time savings are minimal. For instance, going 30 mph in a car, for a 3 mile trip will take you 6 minutes. Going 15 mph on a bike for that same 3 mile trip will take you 12 minutes -- a whopping 6 minutes later.

you should have scratched up the car and when they retaliated you should have shot them both dead in the middle of the street
that would have showed them

All that aside, it's astounding to me that people get so worked up over losing 10 seconds to a bike on the far right lane. If you're so concerned about 10 seconds, stay in the left lane, for crying out loud.

they're the people who find things to get worked up about anyway. it's self-imposed aggravation that will probably kill them with some kind of stress-related heart failure early in life. i do it myself when i'm driving, which is why i hate driving.

Earlier this week (In NYC). A car making a right turn narowly
missed a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The pedestrian starts
yelling at the car, car slows down, pedestrian runs up to the
passenger side window (window is open about 3 inches),
Pedestrian yells at the lady driver and proceeds to pour his
Dunkin Donuts coffee into the car and runs off laughing! I just
smiled and went to work.

What I especially hate is when cars brush passed me or double yellow line to beat me to a light that is red. That really bothers me, so when I get to the light, I always get infront of them and look at them like "what were you thinking?". Same concept.

You could construe her actions as vehicular assault. Tit for tat I say!
actually (while I occasionally spit in driver's faces, I'm not the most mature), I generally pass up honking cars then move directly in front of them and slowly weave across the lane. I find that gets your point across. If they inconvenience you by honking or nearly hitting you, inconvenience them.
