Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Giant Bowery SS

i went to check giant's website and found this new SS that giant has made for '06. here's the link.

http://www.giantbicycles.com/us/030...asp?model=11345

the msrp for this is $500. do u think it's a good deal or should i just buy parts (i.e. ebay) to build a SS 'cause i'm planning to pedal to school this spring-summer.

thanks!

this old thread might be of some use: Giant Bowery?

i'm not a big fan and would go the parts route (or say, iro).

I'm not a fan of aluminum frames. I'd say go with a steel frame. If you want a complete bike IRO or Ben's Bikes Orange One.
