LA vs SF let's settle this!
Alright. There's some serious beef brewing betwixt us Southerners and you damn yanks! So I think we need to organize a LA vs SF throwdown in the near future. Races, drinking contests, whatever. We'll come up to you and then you guys come down to us or vice versa. We'll set up a weblog of events so everyone else can see us thrash you guys. What do you think?

Some journey here to take part, to test the north-thickened bloods of Minneapolis and Madison and Milkwaukee, and the familiar veins of the fair city Chicago. From lateral climes and warmer bands of population, there are those who will tempt the suspended, icy fingers of Winter running innocently down neck and spine, searching for that last hold-out from the cold. And be those who will nay take up the harpoon, the barb, in defiance of a sun that is now far from range. The deep canyon holds all javelins close to earth as we wait...we wait patiently on steed and steamy breath. And we wait for your challenge to seek us out as we know the limits of your warm hearths all to well...

okay i've heard The Bodies -- California Republic (get it!), and i do like the song a lot but it's really not to be taken to heart. freezing can be fun and humidity makes you tough. and i'm not all that interested in topography as i am not a roadie or an MTB freak. L.E.S. Stitches say that New York City's dead, but the reports have been grossly exaggerated.

Lets get one thing straight, SF has nothing on our Mexican food. And I may not be as fast or ride a bike as well as some of you people(but I highly doubt this), I will still make fun of your funny ass colored bikes any day.

Of course if a race will make you feel better we can do that as well.
I propose to hold one race in SF and one in LA. Planned by the locals.
There should be equal amount of people from either city.
We'll have a point system based on race results and once the races are done we'll at the points of both city and see who has more.

I dont actually think there is beef between North and South, I think we are just making excuses to head to San Fran and for a select few to come down here. So if we are tight, we are goin to party like it is 1999.
