Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'll be there. I'll be taking photos probably.

It's mostly the larger mass-produced brands but a few gems and such can be found.

Forum member calculator scored a brand new Langster complete for $250 and bought just for kicks and rain duty.

There is some sweet stuff. This is the sort of place you can find an entire lance armstrong outfit and matching bike too.

My 6 month sabbatical from spending money on bikes will be ending in a few weeks. Its been hard, I don't know if I can talk myself into this show. I think I'm going to do early registration for Bike the Drive instead

I might be working. I don't THINK RT is exhibiting this year, but if we are, I'll definitely be there.

Gorn,

I'm going to be there with some friends Sat AM - they want to go early. We'll probably go to Fox and Obel for coffee first. LMK if you want to meet up.

Hiding out in an attempt to catch up on work debt. I plan on getting my velo love on very soon.

By the by, I flipped that Langster and made $300 on it. Crazy ebay kids.

Did you pick that up in the closeout center? What is the selection like at the show, are there a lot of good deals?

Affirmative on the closeout center. The selection was okay; the Langster was the only fixed related item there. Plenty of cheap neon jerseys and bulbous Bell helmets.

Thanks. I figured the selection wasn't the greatest, but maybe it's worth checking out. I don't have any bike at the moment, so something under $300, fixed or geared, would be something I'd be interested in, as long as it was my size.

Just got back from the show. Never been to a bike show, so i don't have reference on size/turnout. It was decent. Kenda was there selling tires for around dealer cost, so I got some Kriterium Pros for $18.

Closeout center was slim pickings, they had some roadies for $1000 and up, lame-o shoes and clothing and lots of cush-cush saddles.
