Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Lots. Mostly steel. Mostly heavy. Mostly geared, and very low, at that.

good luck.

Most of the people who have them like them a lot.

I work for a VD dealer (haha) and I have to say that if I could find an old one in my size, I'd get totally get it. The new ones are cool and all, but that funky VD style just isn't there anymore. I do, however, very much approve of the fact that they totally made it so you can run a full compliment of gears and brakes on the thing. I think that's pretty sweet.
