Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Ha! I used pi to calculate the area of a baking pan today. I rarely use it outside of math classes.

i am getting frustrated with all of these mathematical holidays. We just celebrated E day. I think it is a conspiracy started by the textbook companies to sell more books.

oh yes, some of you may complain about mathmatic related holidays, but some girl in my calculus class showed up with lots of pies. We held a pie-eating contest to the dismay of the teacher. It probably made my day.

Yeah, I was actually lying. I thought I could get away with it, that I wouldn't get caught, but you got me. Just as well... I was about to turn myself in anyway, the guilt was getting to me.

You are doing a great service to your country. Don't feel guilty on my behalf. Hold your head up high, for it was you who had the presence of mind to realize that: "Hey! He's not telling the truth about his gear ratio!" It was you who showed the world his true disseminating colors. And when the history books are written, they will say thusly:
...And it was DonPenguino who so valiantly exposed the liar koyman when koyman falsely claimed that his gear ratio was equal to and not greater than that immortal number pi, and on its anniversary day, no less. Yes, DonPenguino it was who will forever be remembered as that beacon of truth, that light for what's right, that proverbial pinocchio's nose: The Truthbringer.
Let it be so, and God Bless America.
