So i live in the foo, and yet even though i never go to the SS/FG forum i can't help but hearing about the stuff that goes on over here on practically a daily basis over on my side of the forums, partially because of all the threads that get moved. It's like people over here are always pushing the mods limits. I was also amazed that in coming over and reading a few threads i recognized approxiamately 0 people.
so what is it about the SS/FG that gives it its own culture and following?
on a side note, I'm impressed that bikeforums is developed enough to have seperate cultures/cliques
going on inside of it. Its like, the each subforum is open to anyone..yet you know which people are the P&R junkies..or hang out in the road forum...or in my case the foo. Its cool to think about.
(think this will get moved to the foo since its not technically about SS/FG bikes?)

the happiest day of my life was when i found a cupboard full of massengill in my house and realized that in spite of hygiene, i was born.
each of us has escaped the business end of ******s in one way or another for most of our lives.

All joking aside, we are not a bad group. I think we just have a good time on and off our bikes.

this is a chance for me to spout a severly uninspired narrative regarding the (mis)adventures of my favorite villain, Chuzzlewit, and his arch-nemesis, McGreary.
...And when the dust had settled, our hero was nowhere to be seen. Chuzzlewit gasped -- he was sure that he hadn't missed, yet, where was the body? He looked quickly left, then right. Nothing. Not a sound.
Suddenly, a white-hot flare of pain erupted in his chest, followed quickly by the rolling echo of a high-caliber rifle. He'd been had. McGreary had been upwards of a mile away the whole time. What Chuzzlewit had fired at was nothing but a hologram.
Chuz stumbled, then fell. The small cloud of dust that had risen with the impact slowly drifted away in the breeze. He followed it with his eyes, wondering why this simple task took so much effort. As he watched, the cloud blew past a pair of booted feet. Chuzzlewit's eyes stopped at the toes, then slowly drifted up the (he now realized) holographic form of McGreary.
A low chuckle reached his ears before everything went black...
TO BE CONTINUED...

The act of ripping all of the derailleurs, cables, and brakes off of that first conversion changes people.
