I've got a 25.4 silver flat bar you're welcome to. It's got some ugly-ass graphics on it, but you can probably get rid of 'em.
Still, 25.4, not 26.0.

Surly Torsion bar:
Maybe not flat enough. But it's made by Nitto, and it's 666mm wide!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!
EDIT: I can't seem to be able to find a clamp diameter. But this seems to suggest 25.4mm. *shrug*

i've got some 25.4 risers on a modolo x-eras stem (26.0) and it works. hasn't asploded or slipped or anything, just clamps down a little bit tighter. ghetto ghetto ghetto.
edit - it actually isn't in the x-eras (different bike) but it's still a 26.0 stem. whatever.

I've heard that you can cut perfect shims to fit 25.4 bars into a 26.0 stem using a thickness of beer can or two. If you wanna spend money, $5 will get you legit shims from Nitto or whatever to do the same thing without having to add cut-up beer cans to your fancy ride.

As long as you use PBR cans, your ride will still be fancy.

25.8 is the pretty much the same as 26.0. I think that 26.0 is just more common now but some stems will be listed as 26.0/25.8

From what I remember, 25.8 is a fit-all "between" size stem. I've had several on bike in the past...you'll need a shim for 25.4 bars, and some elbow grease / wd-40 or something' to squeeze 26 bars in. I had to pry my stem apart a little bit for 26es...scary thought but no snapping and dieing problems in a couple years now.
