Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The Stockholm scene

Since very few of my fellow countrymen comes to this forum I thought I'd post a link to pictures from this years "De Brouwerij Pokaal". A race/party for fixies, singlespeeds and other odd bikes. The race is divided into diffrent stages where each stage ends at a pub where beer is waiting. This year 27 of us came. The race took 6 hours from start to finish. It sure was fun and tough with alot of running up and down stairs and extremely steep hills. Check it out:

Only the streets in really old parts of the city are cobblestone, sometime they use it these days for decoration on the side of the street. Yes the 60t chainring was one of the prizes.
