Pain

I feel silly for asking and this isnt necessarily fg specific, but I've been getting a lot of chaffing on my underside between the nether regions. Granted, i'm riding a lot more than i used to, but its to a point where it hurts to sit on the bike. Anyway to alleviate this?

1) Buy bike shorts, even if they are the kind that are stitched into a regular pair of shorts.
2) Don't wear underwear under them.
3) The End.

Generally a lot of moisturizing lotion and a few days off the bike (if you can bear it) is a good remedy. Also, sometimes, certain pants, although they feel comfortable, aren't really so good for riding (my favorite corduroys, for example).

Chamois Butt'r aka Ass Spackle.

Feels like you just dropped a cold load. Four hours later you'll swear by it.

the problem isnt my legs (which are huge----thats what happens when you powerbuild in HS and college and then stop working out for 5 years)

the problem is --how shall we say--"under and between"--not stabbing pain--which is what the bike shorts eliminated--but chaffing

It's a powder for your crotch and other moist areas. The first few minutes are tough (especially the extra strength) but after that, it's like a party in your pants!

Yeah, go easy on the blue stuff. A bunch of us got burned by it at the bike shop one summer when the air conditioning went out.

Otherwise, Gold Bond is like a Tic-Tac for your crotch. Very refreshing.

Assos is the best chamois cream out there. Kinda pricey, but it's got that astringent Gold Bond feel to it. Keep it away from the boys, though. "The tingle means it's working."

The first few minutes are the best.

As for chafing, take a few off, let things toughen up down there, and get back on the hog. After you’re back to riding, make sure your bike is fit to you properly, and that you wear bike shorts with a decent chamois. And though I hope this is not the problem, make sure to wash very carefully and thoroughly in your downtown regions.

Put these on:

Ride past the "Blue Oyster Bar" and "The Ramrod" on your way home and you won't notice that chafing problem any longer.

I'd think he encounter even more chaffing if he were to do that.
