Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

NJS Rule Changes

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I emailed the guy concerning the hub spacing. For some reason, I didn't get a response. i feel bad for the guy who builds a "NJS bike" with this frame.
I wonder if it goes 50mph uphill....

huh? what's wrong with the 123mm spacing? That's pretty much keirin standard now
120mm + 3mm for the MKS chaintugs.

there's only a minority of keirin racers these days who are still using the 110mm spacing.

I thought that 110 was the "only" standard for Keirin. there is more than one standard? I guess he is not the ignorant one.....

Aside from the bike being kosher anyway, the only people who actually need a full NJS bike probably aren't shopping ebay for them.

110mm and 120mm are both standard, and many framebuilders add a couple of mm to accomodate chaintugs.

there's always something quite satisfying about watching people attempt to clown others, yet actually clowning themselves.

Yeah, what a tool that kid is for not knowing all the nuances of a racing standard from halfway around the world.
You guys are so much more NJS than him! KUDOS!

it's not about him not knowing "the nuances of a racing standard from halfway around the world." it's about him trying to clown someone else for not knowing while in fact not knowing himself. he admits as much now.

haha i have to admit that my bike is mostly NJS. it's not necessarily because i care about NJS, but because my frame is NJS and i like having continuity in my builds.
